Quaker Family Camp at Michigan Friends Center
Families of one or more welcome!
August 27-29, 2010

Michigan Friends Center invites Green Pastures Quarterly Meeting members and attenders to spend a weekend of fun and fellowship at Michigan Friends Center (MFC) and Friends Lake Cooperative Community (FLCC).  Four meals will be provided.  There will be some planned activities and lots of unstructured time for fun and relaxation!

Tent camping is available in the FLCC Campground.  A state campground with group cabins for great rates and hookups a few miles away.  There are also hotels nearby in Chelsea for folks who prefer not to camp, but want to join the fun.

Friday, August 27  Arrive between 3 and 6 pm to set up camp (later is ok too).  We'll share a Potluck Dinner at 6:30 at MFC.  After dinner, there will be a welcome and orientation to the weekend, followed by free time to enjoy the evening!

Saturday, August 28   Three meals will be provided, including an evening campfire cookout.  There will be free time for swimming, boating, fishing, trips to the Farmers Market, blueberry picking, bike rides, or a snooze on the beach.  We will have an afternoon adult tea time discussion at MFC and supervised activities will be provided for young people at the campground picnic shelter and in the meadow.  Evening activities may include songs, swimming, sauna, games, or perhaps a talent show will come together at MFC...

Sunday, August 29     We'll have a Pancake Breakfast at MFC followed by Meeting for Worship.    Friends are welcome to spend the day, but lunch and dinner will be on your own.

Though your dogs are probably quite loveable, please leave them at home for the weekend.
